Moreish cookies

Carob is an excellent alternative to chocolate to help satisfy your sugar cravings. Not only is virtually fat free, but it contains around half the amount of sugar when compared to regular chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 125g buckwheat flour
  • 20g carob powder
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 75g unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp full fat milk
  • ½ teaspoon granulated stevia
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. Place all the ingredients into a food processor and mix to make a firm dough
  3. Lightly flour work surface and knead the dough until smooth
  4. Roll the dough out between two sheets of baking paper to roughly 5mm thick
  5. Slice the rolled out dough into little squares that are roughly 6cm in length
  6. Transfer them to the baking tray and bake for 8-10 mins till cooked
