Crispy chocolate bites

Despite its name, buckwheat is actually not a wheat and is safe to eat on a gluten free diet. These bites are high in fibre and may also help support blood sugar spikes. This recipe contains maca root powder, which studies have shown when taken regularly for six weeks, can increase libido in both men and women.

Ingredients

  • 150g roasted buckwheat groats
  • 2 tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 2 tbsp coconut butter

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients except the buckwheat groats into a small pan on a low heat until melted
  2. Remove from the heat and mix in the buckwheat groats and combine well
  3. Pour into silicone moulds and place in the freezer for 10mins
  4. Put the chocolate pops into an airtight container and keep in the fridge
